This work was born from the imagination of waste as a source of life-giving energy in the future. The process was adapted from traditional paper making methods in order to use materials in a more conscious way in my work. Made from scrap metal and paper refuse, a spine and sacrum grow out of the wall into the start of abstract wings. The potential time period in which this being exists has required life high above the ground and the viewer is seeing real-time formation of the life-form. As directional light hits the sculpture, even more life is given to the being, ultimately reviving what was just dead waste material.
